The human gut is more complex than previously thought and has a huge impact on whole-body health.  A healthy gut contributes to a strong immune system, heart health, brain health, improved mood, healthy sleep ,effective digestion and it may help prevent some cancers and autoimmune diseases.
       Today, we begin a series of discussions with Sara Lodge, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.
Sara has over 13 years of experience in the health and wellness industry and runs her practice with a holistic approach, keeping the entire body in mind.
        Each episode, we intend to focus on a specific gut related area- today we discuss the gut/hormone/weight issue.
        We  touch on menopausal weight gain, is there a relationship between the 'gut microbiome' and weight gain,  is there a hereditary factor in your gut bacteria and much much more.
         Along the way, Sara gives tips on how to improve digestion and decrease bloating, and shares her opinion on a few foods that are marketed as " good for you foods".This may be a bit eye opening!
